Former Bamalax players currently competing at the NCAA level

Brye French - Naval Academy

Brye was a 3 year captain and starter at Hoover HS and lead Hoover to it's first state championship in 2008.  Brye was a 3 year member of Bamalax and is currently the all-time leading scorer for Hoover HS as well as Bamalax.  Brye was selected All-American in 2008 (Alabama's very first All-American selection) Brye was also selected to the National Senior showcase and scored the opening goal for the South team VS the East in Chicago during the summer of 2008.  Brye attended the Naval academy prep school in 2008-2009 and was one of the team's leading scorers (Brye was also captain of the Prep school's football team and defensive player of the week 2 times)Brye will be entering his third year at Naval academy in the fall of 2011.  Brye is fighting for the starting linebacker position for the Navy football team and saw significant playing time on the lacrosse field as well last season.

Conor Conway - Alabama

Conor Conway was a 3 year starter for Hoover HS and was a member of Bamalax for 3 years as well as a starting defender.  Conor anchored a Hoover defense that gave up the fewest goals in the state and lead Hoover to their first state championship in 2008.  Conor was a member of the 2008 Bamalax team that won the Southeast championship tournament and earned a bid to the National club championship in Tampa.  Conor just completed his freshman year at the University of Alabama and started 7 games for the Crimson Tide

Stewart "Chubbs" Moore - Alabama

Stewart was a key part of the creation of the John Carroll Catholic high school team where he starred as a midfielder.  Stewart is currently a Junior at Alabama and was voted captain of the Crimson Tide.  Stewart was an original member of Bamalax and competed at several tournaments and was a valuable offensive and defensive contributor.

Jake Ponseti - Auburn

Jake was an original member of Bamalax and a Key founding member of the Homewood high school Lacrosse program.  Jake starred as midfielder/attackman and was a 3 year
captain.  As a freshman at Auburn, Jake saw significant playing time at midfielder during Fall Ball, including some facing off, and expects to represent Birmingham lacrosse well as a second generation Auburn laxster.

Jake Gillikin - Auburn

Jake just finished his freshman year at Auburn where he saw significant playing time on both defense and long stick midfield.  Jake was a key part of the 2008 Hoover HS state championship and a key member of Bamalax in 2007-2008 as the starting long stick middie. 

Trey Atkinson - Guilford College

Ashkan Isfahani - Birmingham Southern College

Ashkan was a member of the 2008 Bamalax squad as an attackman after helping his Huntsville high school team finish as state runner ups.  Ashkan entered Birmingham Southern as an attackman but transitioned to midfield and becoming BSC's #1 faceoff man by the beginning of the spring season,  Ashkan won a significant portion of his faceoffs during the 2009 season and is looking forward to his next three seasons at BSC.

Scott Gilbert - Birmingham Southern College

Scott was a key member of Hoover High school's 2009 state championship.  Scott started all 16 games on defense helping the Bucs record 2 shut outs and average less than 6 goals against per game.  Scott was a defender for Bamalax starting all games in Tampa during the 2009 club National championships and playing in all tournaments during the 2008 season .  Scott will be entering Birmingham Southern College as a freshman this fall
